Grenova is listening. Our growth and expansion has been a direct result of listening to the needs of the laboratory community and directly responding. To do this effectively, Grenova has spent the first quarter of 2019 on the road hosting engaging discussions, providing product demonstrations, and forming valuable partnerships throughout the United States. As a result, the most innovative laboratories are implementing smarter, cleaner, and greener ways to process their samples using washed and reused tips. Here are a few examples of where we’ve traveled and the impact Grenova is making across the country:

Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS): Grenova is proud to be a part of the SLAS global community, which is made up of more than 19,000 scientists, technologists, researchers, academics and data informatics professionals. Earlier this year the SLAS hosted its annual conference, bringing together thousands of participants to discuss automation and high-throughput technologies, bioanalytical techniques, assay development and screening, biomarker discovery and applications, micro- and nanotechnologies, informatics, and more. At their flagship event, Grenova joined Biosero to demonstrate Green Button Go software, our proven tip washing and reuse system that is bridged with other lab equipment within a workcell to create a seamless, automated, and sustainable process. Here we had the opportunity to share how our patented technology has saved labs working with Grenova over $6.3 million dollars on their plastic consumables spend without risk of carryover. In addition to demonstrating our proven technology, Grenova’s founder and CEO, Ali Safavi, had the honor of delivering a presentation, titled “Conquering Unnecessary Lab Waste,” at the Washington Convention Center.
Laboratory Research and Innovation Group (LRIG): Grenova is proud to serve as an active member of LRIG, a rapidly growing special interest group focused on laboratory automation. The LRIG membership consists of over 12,000 scientists and engineers with chapters in California, Chesapeake (Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Delaware), Europe, Germany, Mid Atlantic, Midwest, New England, Northwest, Philadelphia, New York, and Texas. Throughout a series of chapter events, Grenova has had the pleasure of listening to, and providing solutions for, LRIG members from industries such as pharmaceutical and biotechnology, agriculture, food, and more. As a technology exhibitor, Grenova has had an opportunity to showcase our portfolio of products that offer labs the ability to wash contaminated pipette tips in large quantities for reuse. As a result, Grenova has helped labs reduce consumable biohazard waste and cut down cost up to 90%. Grenova looks forward to continuing the conversation at upcoming LRIG events across the country as we work together to lower laboratory industry costs and reduce biohazard waste in the environment by delivering ground-breaking approaches in dealing with plastic consumables.
Association for Mass Spectrometry: Applications to the Clinical Laboratory: Grenova and MSACL share a common commitment to the advancement of mass spectrometry as applied in the clinical laboratory industry. We celebrate the MSACL’s mission to support the development of new technologies in mass spectrometry to be used in laboratory medicine — including diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of clinical disorders. Grenova recently participated in an engaging round of Lighting Talks at the Palm Springs Convention Center as we shared our proven ability to save money and eliminate waste throughout the lab industry and beyond.
Labvolution Conference: Grenova European distributor, GC Biotech, will be exhibiting at the Labvolution, the flagship European trade show for innovative lab equipment. Grenova will be on hand to demonstrate how its tip washing systems can optimize laboratory workflows. The event will be hosted May 21-23, 2019 in Hannover, Germany and will focus on the theme of “The Integrated Lab,” signaling the show’s strong emphasis on connectivity. Labvolution will cover the entire spectrum of lab technology and highlight new directions and developments throughout the industry. In addition to exhibiting, Grenova’s founder and CEO, Ali Safavi, will deliver a presentation during Labvolution with GC biotech on ways to reduce the science community’s plastic waste contribution through financially viable solutions.
These are only a handful of examples of the many organizations committed to the use of innovative solutions in the lab industry to save money, improve efficiency, and reduce biohazard waste. Stay tuned for news about Grenova’s involvement at the NIH Spring Show, the 71st AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo, the ASMS conference, and more!
